CAUSE Canada actively solicits individuals, churches, foundations, corporations and governments for support of its programs. CAUSE has one full-time staff person dedicated to fundraising, and who is responsible to a board sub-committee known as the Resource Development Committee.
Solicitations from the private sector are done primarily through direct mail (please see attached samples). Foundations are generally approached using the Princeton Method, culminating in a written proposal and a gift.
CAUSE also organizes the Race for Human Rights (a mountain bike race) and the Canadian Rocky Mountain Half Marathon 10k & 5k Run/Walk. These event attracts corporate sponsorship which is not considered a donation and hence is not tax receiptable.
CAUSE Canada belongs to the NGO Project Facility of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). CAUSE solicits this body by way of project submissions which are funded after scrutiny by a selection committee.
