CAUSE Canada understands that development is a process rather than an end, and that to develop is not to have but to become. Consequently, CAUSE Canada plans, organizes, fundraises for, implements, and evaluates international development programs, in close long-term partnership with communities, that focus on the strengths people and communities already posses and assisting them to utilize those assets to become what they want to become. This is our affirmative assets-based approach.

Our particular mandate, inspired by Christ, is to give this assistance to the most vulnerable and under-assisted people: primarily low-income rural women, children, and persons with disabilities.
