Justice Film Festivals - Canmore & Red Deer

The Canmore and Red Deer Justice Film Festivals are free events for the entire Bow Valley Community!  Last year we had over 600 people attending each festival with some fantastic conversations.

The goal of the festivals is to facilitate an increased awareness and understanding of injustices and indignities suffered by some in this world, to offer opportunities to discuss these issues, and to encourage participants to take steps that seek justice. 

The films shown will address a variety of social justice issues both in North America and internationally.  To further engage the audience, films will be followed by a dynamic conversation with facilitators who are connected personally or professionally to the issues raised by each film, and there will be displays hosted by local organizations with opportunities for audience members to act—by purchasing fair trade goods, volunteering, and signing petitions.
