If I were to describe my time in Honduras in one sentence, I would say it has been the most wonderful and challenging experience of my life. The opportunity to work with the CAUSE team has really opened my eyes to the realities of development work: it can be frustrating and slow moving while at the same time intense, powerful, and enriching. The strength and spirit of the people I have met here in Honduras has truly changed not only my outlook on life, but also the world. And at the end of this experience what I have learned is this: projects will come and go, but the constant, the flame that keeps the work alive and dynamic, is the people. It is these people who matter the most, who give the project a heart and a soul, and who have given me a true understanding of the power of love.
