Candice is a wife, a mother of three, and an entrepreneur.  Born in South Africa and immigrating to Canada as a child she grew up in Kelowna, British Columbia. It was here that Candice had the idea of creating hand-made vintage-inspired aprons. The aprons were a way to combine her interest in sewing and design with the ability to create work for herself so she could stay home with her children.

Buttercream Aprons was launched and Candice has never looked back. Word of Candice’s aprons and beautiful fabrics got out and quickly her one-woman operation evolved beyond aprons and into the world of clothing and accessories. Buttercream Aprons soon became Buttercream Clothing and the one-woman operation evolved to include six seamstresses and two manufacturing facilities in Kelowna and Calgary.

Buttercream Clothing prides itself on being constructed (designed, cut, sewn and finished) ethically, and each product is made to last using luxurious, high quality fabrics.  Candice finds great joy in making and creating new designs and watching her customers fall in love with them.

Buttercream Clothing maintains the brand’s core values of handcrafting beautiful, ethical, Canadian-made clothing. CAUSE Canada is thrilled to partner with this great company for our 2016 gift catalogue.  We are in love with the buffalo plaid moose scarf Candice has created and are so happy to be able to support such a wonderful company. Candice is equally as thrilled to participate in this campaign and be a part of the amazing work that CAUSE Canada is doing!
